Normally, it seems we spend

60 ms on work (when the timer is also running, only approx. 25 ms with only one display active)
30 ms on reading the load cell (mostly blocking until data is ready)
Giving a 90 ms / 11 Hz loop, which sounds okay

When data is ready before i call read() on the load cell, I get the data in 0-2 ms.
