garage workbench prettify

The workbench is solidly built from reclaimed 3" tongue and groove pine (same as the flooring).

Issues

• After 30 years of use, the surface is quite worn.
• the grooves are wide (1/4 - 3/8) and I'm regularly fishing stuff out of the gaps.
• the board widths vary so the surface undulates
• the boards have worked some nails loose as their moisture changes throughout the year

The Plan

• [x] anchor the boards down securely with 5" screws
• [x] sand the worn top down
• [x] mix the sawdust from sanding with wood glue and fill the grooves
• [x] sand the surface down level and smooth
• [x] apply a few coats of poly to make it pretty
