go to settings>>applications, look for market, open it and hit "uninstall
updates" and you'll have the first version of android market on your device.
hope it helps!

I don't see the option to uninstall updates... any other possibilities?
Thanks.

this is how it worked for me ,
restart android.
go to settings , manage applications> all>Market
uninstall it , then restart android (go to WM then back to Android).
Then go to the market , and when you are on the market restart.
then it should update automatically , when it finishes. dont open it. go to
market.android.com and install any application.
after its done. go to the android and it will download then install , then the
market would be stable again and no more crashes!
