What version of awesome are you using? There are different versions of nice for awesome stable and awesome git. On Thu, Dec 24, 2020 at 8:48 AM Quinten notifications@github.com wrote:

Has this issue been resolved? I was getting the same list of errors. With the following version of Awesome: awesome v4.3 (Too long) • Compiled against Lua 5.3.3 (running with Lua 5.3) • D-Bus support: ✔ • execinfo support: ✔ • xcb-randr version: 1.6 • LGI version: 0.9.2

I have recently (now) setup nice on a system which had installed Kubuntu and it works? I have used the stable branch. I needed to switch the branch from master to stable after cloning the linked repository to .config/awesome/nice.

awesome v4.3 (Too long) • Compiled against Lua 5.3.6 (running with Lua 5.3) • D-Bus support: ✔ • execinfo support: ✔ • xcb-randr version: 1.6 • LGI version: 0.9.2

My awesome and pico configurations were completely clean because I had just downloaded awesome.
