Will promoting KiMiTud's categorisation game increase transactions/engagement? #107

Q: Will pointing people towards the categorisation game increase transactions on the site?

[What ways could we use to promote the game?]

  1. Create a pop-up banner on the site that points people to the categorisation game. The url to the game should have campaign parameters so engagement with it can be tracked. Use this tool to do that.

  2. Promote on KiMiTud/Atlatszo's Facebook pages and Twitter accounts (again, use campaign URLs to track each method of promotion).

[Explain how you will measure this]

  1. In Google Analytics we'll look at Acquisition - Campaigns to see if the campaign urls (mentioned above) have been clicked and therefore people have visited the categorisation game page. This will tell us which of the promotional methods above worked best to bring traffic to game.

  2. There are currently 690 requests left to categorise, so we'll measure if that number goes down.

  3. It would be good to track in Analytics if traffic from the campaign urls went on to play the categorisation game. This would require setting up a 'Play the Request Categorisation Game' goal in Google Analytics (the Australian site has done this, so I believe it's possible). It would also be good to track if this traffic went on to make FOI requests - this goal is already set up in Analytics.

[What do we need to do to be able to take the measurements?]

  1. Set up a 'Play the Request Categorisation Game' goal in Google Analytics
  2. Make sure all links to game have campaign urls
  3. Make sure the categorisation game is all translated into Hungarian - there are currently some English bits.

Linked to #51 and Will promoting the classification game help drive traffic? We didn't actually go on to experiment with promotion of the game on a specific site, so this ticket aims to address that
