mtenv is now the "official" way to install and switch versions of Myst. It is available at https://github.com/myst-lang/mtenv, and manages the process of downloading and installing Myst into a user's system.
These instructions will need updating when mtenv gets its own easier installation strategy and when Crystal is no longer a requirement for installation (i.e., pre-built binaries are available).
