Coursework content

Work on your Career Development plan, so that it reflects your learnings and where you evolved. Your goals might be different now, and writing them down can keep your focus and give you a tool to discuss them with anyone you trust who would like an opinion.

Remember: 2-3 areas are enough to change in such a short time, so it's better to focus on a few, get them nailed, and then choose another area.

Technical knowledge is important, but the skills and processes are also important so you can get a job in tech. So think about both sides.

Hey there! As a student at Code Your Future (CYF), I'm all in on building a career in the tech world. This report lays out my game plan, covering what I'm aiming for in the short, medium, and long term, and how I plan to get there. Goals Short-term Goals Coding Hustle: I'm committing to hitting the code for at least two hour every weekday. It's all about leveling up my tech skills and getting sharper at problem-solving. English Boost: Gonna spend an hour each day brushing up on my written English. Grammar, vocab, communication – gotta nail it all to make my mark. Medium-term Goals Tech Savvy: I'm hungry to soak up more knowledge beyond CYF's curriculum. More coding challenges, more projects – anything to beef up my tech know-how. Networking Blitz: Planning to hit up workshops, webinars, and events to connect with folks in the know. Gotta stay plugged into industry trends and opportunities. Long-term Goals Job Hunt Mode: Once I've got that CYF diploma in hand, it's all about landing a tech gig. I'm gonna be firing off tailored CVs and cover letters left, right, and center. Personal Branding: Every application needs to shine. I'll be showcasing my experience and wins in a way that stands out from the crowd. Action Plan Daily Activities Code Sprints: One hour of coding grind every weekday. English Drill: Same deal – an hour every day to polish up my written English. Weekly Activities Project Time: Carving out weekly slots for personal coding projects or diving into open-source contributions. Networking Mixers: Gonna make sure I hit up at least one networking event or meetup each week to make those connections. Monthly Activities Reality Check: Monthly check-ins to review where I'm at, what's working, and what needs tweaking. Skill Upgrades: Pinpointing areas to grow and dedicating time each month to mastering new tech or skills. Conclusion This plan is my roadmap to tech success. With consistent effort, ongoing learning, and some savvy networking, I'm confident I'll carve out my spot in the tech world. Here's to the journey ahead!
