Inconsiderate behaviour pop-up #164

Open mhughes2k opened 3 years ago

This was raised at one of our committees, but we've had some incidences of bad behaviour in Zoom meetings.

It was asked if it would be feasible to present a pop up to remind the students of their obligations etc.

This seems like it could be a helpful feature to have in the plugin for when a participant hits the "join" button: they would get an interstitial message (that the server admin could set via config setting) that they would have to click through for the meeting to actually launch.

The interstitial message could be presented the first time the student joins a meeting, and randomly thereafter.

@mhughes2k Wouldn't this beer like a EULA that people will skip and agree to without reading? What about putting something in the syllabus or the first day of class of participation expectations and penalties?

Of course it is... :-D

And they do get all of those too! (or at least meant to)

But that doesn't seem to prevent it being requested. At best/worst it means the institutions can say "well you were told", and I think that if there was a random aspect to it, then at least it's a "nudge" towards appropriate behaviour.
