Carlo,

Given things need to work for all datasets (we need to have a way for the same curator to work for everything) can you think of ways of definition of the data to work across the board so that changes made to accommodate some of your proposed displays do not change how other datasets are presented?

absolutely - im thinking of all of these things as add ons not re-designs - will discuss in more detail with shaun tomorrow and jorvis soon im sure

Would this just be as simple as selecting a "line" plot in the dataset curator, and then I add an option for datapoint markers?

sounds like that should wrk, but i am trying the line plot now, and cant get it to work at all (doesnt generate a preview at all) with a data set that i have a scatter plot working fine for (" RNAseq from 6 hPSC lines in self-renewal and differentiation (Kim et al 2021). ") see 1st dataset in https://nemoanalytics.org/p?l=KimEtAL2021 - i cant get a line plot to produce anything for this data
