Nextcloud server version: 24.0.6
Nextcloud Contacts version: 4.2.2
Thunderbird version: 102.3.3
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2 19044.2130
On the documentation page for Thunderbird sync (/user_manual/groupware/sync_thunderbird.rst), the "recommended" method is to use native Thunderbird support for CardDAV contact integration. However, this method does not support contact groups. The option is greyed out:
The only way I have found to accomplish this is by using a plugin like Cardbook.
I wonder why the native method is recommended? At the very least, we should add a note indicating Contact groups are not supported (which, to me, is a significant limitation).
Sorry, I know this is not discussion thread, but can anyone find some information on WHEN thunderbird plans on rolling out this enhancement? Shouldn't be a question of "if".
