Nextcloud Office enable 'Web View' #3737

the desktop version of Libre Office let's the user pick the view the page displayed in. as in Nextcloud Office, you view your doc in a typical, printable format (say A4), but you can also opt for what they call ‘web’ view, which essentially eliminates the margins on both sides and hides the page breaks. it’s what’s called in Google Docs ‘Pageless Mode’.

while I found support for this feature in Collabora's official docs. I might be wrong but I couldn't find support for this option in Nextcloud Office.

I'm not sure if this is an existing option or not but if not, I find it to be quite essential to let users switch to 'web view' on Nextcloud office. many users use Nextcloud Office to write things which aren't meant to be printed. from notes and ideas to email drafts and journals. the traditional format is indeed very useful when you intend to print your document at the end but if you write text meant to remain virtual, the distraction-free environment of the pageless mode, offers a cleaner and more continuous 'blank canvas' to interact with when writing, similar to the writing environment of apps like notion or anytype.

Thanks for your feature request. The documentation is just about the desktop version of Collabora Office, in Collabora Online this is not available yet. There is already an upstream issue for tracking this, so I'll close this here, but your additional ressources could be worth to add to the existing issue: https://github.com/CollaboraOnline/online/issues/7198
