Direct link to files within folder with share link #3234

Steps to reproduce

  1. Share a folder with files with public link

Expected behaviour

I expect that every file in shared folder with share link has own direct link. Link would be visible in share properties. Link could be like https://www.cloud.example/index.php/s/vIa0YS4zUsZLe3J/fileName. Easier to share a file over chat, email etc.

Actual behaviour

File have to have own share link.

This is basically the fileid we currently put in our normal shares but for share links.

NextCloud would be the best company/personal file share option if it had a direct file sharing option. 👍 Sadly OwnCloud never wanted to implement it, but fingers crossed that NextCloud will include it one day.

Is there anaything ongoing with that feature? My users want for example a direct link to a shared Collabora File, wgich should open, when clicking on the link (of course only after autorisation.

I think this feature existed before, no? Sorry I did not understand the request, it's not the same. My file don't open the file.

Example of url when I open file on a folder of shared link on Nextcloud 24.0.5 : https://cloud.domain.tld/s/JNEMsgiEFpnRki5?dir=undefined&path=%2FComptes%20rendus&openfile=222784

Maybe it's possible to directly open it with the openfile ID from the url?

On the other hand when you open a Markdown file the url does not change :S
