Contact Us Usability Testing (May 2024)
This page is part of a wider round of testing looking at the prototype Contact Us Hub and form The form is for users to report issues on the NHS website to the Service Desk. We asked how participants would go about reporting an error they had seen elsewhere on the website. When they arrived at the page attached here, we asked participants if they understood what a URL is and how they would go about putting this into the box. We found that although they didn't necessarily know what the acronym stands for, they understood what a URL is and could describe how they would go about entering one into the box. Some participants also thought adding the URL would be helpful for the person dealing with the enquiry to have an idea of where they'd seen the mistake. The participants for this round of testing all had good levels of digital confidence.
GOV.UK style guide says: URL Upper case. No need to explain the acronym.
