This is just a reminder for all people working on the default feather to implement the "Black Copper" aka "Coppery" theme for a future release.

Yesterday was the discuss on IRC channel on how to propose different colors schemes.

@rsjtdrjgfuzkfg proposed one feather by color, overlaying the base feather.

rsjtdrjgfuzkfg commented 12 years ago

Including: add a css file for only coloring, other themes profide the same layouts and change this css file via chrome registration.

phoerious commented 12 years ago

Those things will be much easier once we abandon pixel graphics and use CSS3 for most interface elements.

AntoineTurmel commented 11 years ago

@rsjtdrjgfuzkfg ok for css, but for images ? A folder for each color ? Or color in the file name ?

rsjtdrjgfuzkfg commented 11 years ago

I personally would love to see no image changes at all, and do it all css (transparent images on a blue/copper ground and similar stuff). If that is not possible or too difficult on some places, I'd go in filenames for the images needing it. Imho just take one as base (i.e. coppery: some-image.png) and do the other with suffix (i.e. blue: some-image-blue.png).

Pushing to 2.x, as we don't seem to have the ressources for that currently.

ilikenwf commented 11 years ago

I was hoping someone would make that decision...I just couldn't, because I'm not a frontend guy.

freaktechnik commented 11 years ago

So if @GeekShadow could push what he has done on it, that would be great.
