i3status-rust: investigate including upstream version in version string to fix home-manager #423

home-manager is sniffing the package version to determine which type of configuration to write out.

It seems like it fails with the package from here, unfortunately.

well, here I am realizing that using swaybar means no system tray interactivity, so I guess I'll probably just keep using waybar :grimacing:
