Volunteer to be a releaser #907

Hi! I recently learned that I don't have to be a collaborator in order to be a releaser - if I'd known, I'd have applied almost a decade ago :-D

I'd love to help out; releases seem like a lot of work, and I've reported so many issues with releases over the years that it'd be nice to gain the other perspective.

For context, it was decided that releasers must be collaborators, and I'm not one.
