There's some mods that add custom cosmetics to morecompany like jiggleutils/moretails that are really nice but it's a hastle to get people to see them, maybe add these as official cosmetics and have a button to disable "expansions" (and an option to disable jiggle physics) which would disable all the cosmetics added in from outside mods, perhaps a pop up when you boot up the game letting you know disabling this could help with performance.
I don't see why not do this, maybe open a discord for suggesting mods that should be added officially and whenever you need to update the mod you add them in, there's plenty of mods that add hundreds of assets (for example the too many emotes mod) and the game is just fine
