New GSE user procedure

Setting up a user on a GSE computer for access to a flight instrument is complicated.

Can it be streamlined?

• Create GSE OS user (if necessary)
  • User needs to set password
  • User needs to create ssh key and set a passphrase
• ssh key needs to get added to the instrument user account on $FlightNode and also to the flight user account
• .ssh/config needs setup
• on DPOPS, there is an extra step due to two different flight computers
