Question : How to do a complete backup and restore of Distrod #79

Are the "wsl --export" and "wsl --import" commands sufficient.

just copy ext4.vhdx.

Perform the following steps when you need to restore:

  1. Install a fresh distro normally using wsl-distrod
  2. Execute wsl --shutdown
  3. Replace the ext4.vhdx of the newly installed distro with the backed up ext4.vhdx

Where is this ext4.vhdx located when installed using distrod.
