Missing kde icons from base #580

Open andia89 opened 9 years ago

andia89 commented 9 years ago

Ok apart from Adwaita, Elementary and gnome oxygen also misses a lot of base icons (thankfully a lot of symlinks are possible in this one). Be warned the list is extremely long :)

EDIT: Since breeze is the new default icon theme I'm adding here also the icons in the breeze theme that are not covered in other issues so far...

palob commented 8 years ago

Oh, I had better rename them all :)

Foggalong commented 8 years ago

Is the first icon acrobat the PDF reader?

andia89 commented 8 years ago

It's in the actions folder. I guess it's probably used in places where something is converted to pdf?

andia89 commented 8 years ago

What do you think about that as emotes icon (might be the template for other face-* icons)? (Face angel in this case) face-angel svg

I think there is some room for improvement, but might need some guiding

palob commented 8 years ago

Maybe a darker halo for better contrast to bright GUI themes? How does it look with desaturated i.e. grey eyes/mouth?

andia89 commented 8 years ago

I don't know still not happy with mouth/eyes face-angel svg

palob commented 8 years ago

darker?

andia89 commented 8 years ago

face-angel svg Yes I guess that's it :) I mean it's pretty close to a generic smiley face, but I guess that's ok

andia89 commented 8 years ago

Meh actually that's still pretty bad. I'll try to make something more numixy...

andia89 commented 8 years ago

face-angel svg

I really think this is now a good template to make the other faces

palob commented 8 years ago

:+1: Tiny nitpicking: Maybe match the halo's curvature with the head one's where it is cut off.

(For instance by duplicating the head shape, adding a 1px stroke, converting into path and subtracting from the original halo, removing the remaining inner part)

andia89 commented 8 years ago

Yeah sure. You think this is good enough yet so that I can make other faces?

palob commented 8 years ago

@Foggalong?

bilelmoussaoui commented 8 years ago

@wa4557 Can you take a look at other lists like Adwaita,Elementary, Highcontrasts and Humanity and see if there's more face-* to add/symlink :+1: and they look good!!

bilelmoussaoui commented 8 years ago

@wa4557 those two icons already added :+1:

bilelmoussaoui commented 6 years ago

@Foggalong Those icons were added within the Inkscape icons theme support : draw-eraser, draw-spiral, draw-text, stroke-cap-butt, stroke-cap-round, stroke-cap-square, stroke-join-bevel, stroke-join-miter, stroke-join-round draw-ellipse, draw-rectangle, tool-measure

Especially mixer-microphone and whatever icon should be used for when notifications are silenced seem important. They appear in default KDE Plasma configurations but right now appear completely blank with Numix.

mixer-microphone is shown when the microphone is in use, which happens everytime you start a video call for example.

The "notifications are silenced/muted" icon appears when you mirror a screen, as it's assumed by KDE Plasma that you're giving a presentation then (and thus don't want any notifications).
