Thank you for your response.

After careful consideration, the team decides to reject this report as a bug since the deadline can be set to before the official deadline as the user might have set earlier deadlines according to the user's own schedule who might want to avoid last minute work. Furthermore, there is a possibility, although may not be meaningful, for a user to add a customised deadline before the current day. For example, the user may want to review their progress at the end of year (for example, seeing if they have set their own schedules properly throughout the year) and at some point, realised they forgot to add a customised deadline, which can justify adding a customised deadline before today.
