Vendor restriction too strict #175

Open nus-se-script opened 1 week ago

image.png While it makes sense for guests and is mentioned in the ug, it can be very likely that the same boss owns more than 1 company that is a vendor. In this use case the address book now fails when I have the same boss for 2 vendors, making it highly inconvenient for users.

Team's Response

Thank you for the feedback!

While the situation described is valid, it is a niche scenario that is relatively uncommon. As such, we feel that the severity should be low, since this is not a common occurrence for vendors. Nevertheless, we do acknowledge that this concern is valid and so this scenario could be added as part of a future iteration. In the mean time, users can distinguish between companies by appending identifiers to the vendor names (e.g., "Alan Tan - Jewellery" and "Alan Tan - Interior Design"), thereby managing the issue manually until a systematic solution is implemented in a future iteration. Overall, we appreciate the suggestion that you have provided and it's something that can be implemented in future iterations
