Unable to add overlapping events #1581

Allowing overlap of events would be beneficial to students since many lessons/projects end up overlapping in student life. Changing it to just showing the user a warning would be better

esp recurring events, once it conflicts with one event, everything else will not be added

Thanks for pointing this out! Actually, the team has already discussed about this problem and this is what we want to implement in future versions. We want to give user full control over their schedules and have as less as possible. In consideration of this, in the current version, as written in the UG

The reason is that events with all time information will be shown on the timetable and it's hard and misleading to show overlapping events. However, other kinds of events (e.g. events that is added w/o enddate or endtime) are highly customized and we allow them overlapping with each other. Therefore, since we already considered this issue and did something to partly solve it and it will be fully solved in future version, we consider this issue NotInScope.
