Scrolling feels weird #3

When I scroll very slowly, the note editor moves pretty quickly, amd when scroll faster, it's scrolling slower!

OS used: openSUSE Tumbleweed Installation: AppImage Version: Latest AppImage from website

This is so odd! Can you share a screen recording, please?

tim-gromeyer commented 2 days ago

I tried, but you can't really see it. But when scrolling very slowly, it scrolls very fast, and when scrolling very fast, it gets even slower. I should note, that I'm using a touchpad, with a mouse wheel, the problem is gone

Hmm, I can't reproduce this. Are you running under Wayland by any chance?

tim-gromeyer commented 2 days ago

Yes, indeed. Kde plasma 6.2, wayland session

nuttyartist commented 1 day ago

Hmm, Daino Notes doesn't yet support Wayland natively (only through XWayland). Many users reported multiple issues regarding that, so it might be that. Do you have your hand on a non-Wayland machine? Maybe you could check if you can reproduce the issue there?

Is there any technical problem preventing it? Qt has a wayland plugin, you dont need to change anything for it to work

Of course, I can just start a xorg session instead of wayland

tim-gromeyer commented 1 day ago

Same thing on Xorg

Also note: According to my testing, daino notes runs natively unter wayland, it doesn't use XWayland

Oh, really?

Same thing on Xorg

That's odd, I can't reproduce this and never was reported this issue before. I'll have to look into this more deeply. Are you using any unique peripherals?

tim-gromeyer commented 6 hours ago

Nope, just my laptop with the build-in keyboard
