Questions regarding the porting process #4

Hey, sorry for reaching out via issues, couldn't find any contact data. We are kinda in the process of porting qt to PS Vita. Stumbled upon your project and wondered what made you stop working on it? Is there maybe some unsolvable issue or you just lost interest? How big is this work in general, in your opinion? Any notable pitfalls? Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out, this was a lockdown project in mars & april 2020 :) Not enough freetime and personal life made me stop the progress but I enjoyed it while doing it. I had trouble with mmap not being available in Nintendo homebrew and stuff with allocating executable memory IIRC. This was a bit outside of my comfort zone, I usually do more high level stuff. Beside that the hard part of the work still needed to be done was a proper QPA platform, it sounded interesting and doable, beside not being very documented. You can still find slideshows and talks about that though.

I heard that some Qt Company devs did a Switch port during a hackaton, but with the official SDK.

I hope you'll succeed in your port.
