Open sbeard3333 opened 2 years ago

there’s a lag between typing & letters appearing. this just started. also double letters or backspace hit twice (quickly) enlarges screen. the game is not playable anymore. at least not fast. please fix!!

This isn't happening for me, can you send a screen recording?

hi. it’s funny, it never used to happen at all. it started about a week ago and is sporadic. when i got your e-mail, the problem wasn’t happening; now it is. i’m sorry, i don’t think i know how to do a screen recording… only a capture. i will google how, unless you can instruct me. the issue makes the game almost unplayable… typing in two letters (not even that fast) causes the screen to zoom in rather than accepting the letters. sorry i don’t have a better description. i will look into recording the screen this evening. thank you for reaching out.

it’s still happening…. i thought about it and i don’t think a screen recording will show you what’s happening. it what’s not happening that’s the problem. it’s not accepting letters typed fast. like if i type S, T, E, the S & T might get entered, but not the E… it sounds trivial, but it’s not. i don’t know how to explain it better. two taps end up zooming also.. i want to help you because i love this game and you were nice enough to write back. :) maybe i’ll record myself trying to play with my ipad tomorrow. anyway, sorry i don’t know a better way to explain the glitch.

@sbeard3333 this sounds like the default iOS behavior of zooming on a fast double tap. Not sure if there's a way to disable that but i can look into it

I pushed a change that might fix it, but I can't test it since I haven't been able to reproduce the issue.

If it still doesn't work, I'd check if you have an accessibility setting on for zooming: Settings -> Accessibility -> Zoom

i checked a couple of hours ago and it appeared to be fixed!! thanks!!! 👍🏽

i spoke to soon. the delay is still there. :( like i said before, the problem is sporadic. i’ve checked everything on my end; i’m 99.9% sure it’s a glitch. sorry i can’t be more helpful or describe it better. it’s just a typing delay that occurs. so if you succinctly type out the five letters, 2 or 3 of them might only appear. uggghh… then you realize they aren’t going to form the word you’re trying to type, so you go to the backspace button. but instead of erasing two unwanted letters, to taps on the backspace button only removes one then zooms way in on the screen. the whole thing becomes a cluster. not worth the frustration when it happens. this past week, it does it everyday. it also resolves itself everyday… and happy again. :(
