Hey Marco,
It’s likely that you are using a newer version of fly capture and they are somehow incompatible. Here is the version I last compiled with.

Kind regards

Hi, I am going to use the open source version of Oculomatic. I got Chamaleon3.0 camera, I installed the Flycapture2.0 SDK and I downloaded your sofware from GitHub. Flycapture is able to read the camera and it works perfectly. Unfortunately, when I try to open Oculomatic application, I get an error message: Flycapture2_v110.dll cannot be found. Try to re-install Flycapture. I did it several times but it does not change anything. Can you help me, please? Where am I wrong? Thanks in advance Marco

As long as your device is labeled as dev1 in NIDAQ and you are using analog output channel 0 and 1 everything should work automatically. I removed the plotting because the package was not maintained anymore. I will find a new one.

Dear Jan, thank you so much for your kind support. Indeed, it works. However, I have two more questions: 1) I tried to press the P key in order to visualize the output signal but it does not return any response or plot. What should I do? 2) Since I have a NI-PCIe-6321 card installed on my computer which works with the current nidaqmx driver suite, I am going to use it in order to generate the output X and Y signals. Should I have configure something on the NI card or it works automatically? Sorry, for my several questions, but this is the first time of installing an open source eye tracking system. Thanks in advance for your kind help Kind regards Marco

Dear Jan, thank you so much! It works and looks great. However, I did not find information even in your paper, about a parameter regarding the pupil size. This could be useful for information about the autonomous system activity. Do you think it could be improved? I would say that we need just a measure of the centroid size, is that correct? thank you so much Best regards Marco

Hi Marco, pupil size has been added in other versions. Initially I did not add it since most people use daq cards with only two analog output channels.
Hi Jan, I am trying to send oculomatic output voltages to monkeylogic software. I need an information. It is not clear to me if the tracking starts and the output is sent only when the cyan circle is detected. My impression is that the output is sent when pupil is tracked and not when cyan circle is present. Can you clarify this issue? thanks
Hey there, output is basically always on as in as soon as something is tracked (no matter it being an eye or anything). I also used monkey logic with the system. Let me know if you run into any issues
Best
Jan

Hi Jan, I apologize for this further message. You are absolutely right, no cyan circle is needed in order to send the voltage. Unfortunately, I am trying to make speaking it with monkeylogic but for some reason that I miss, it does not work correctly. I also checked that signal is loaded by matlab by using an analog signal reader and it is perfectly visible. The output voltage is within -10 and 10 volts. However when it reach the limits it saturates. It looks like a monkeylogic problem. Since you are using the same software, probably you have some advice to solve the problem. In order to be clearer, I am trying to leave the gain from oculomatic constant at 100 for both eye components. When I try to make a calibration on monkeylogic, I cannot see the eye very well. Indeed when I go in Origin and Gain I cannot see a smooth tracking of the eye movements. The signal comes and goes in fits and starts. Again no problem of cables connection since on the analogic signal reader it looks good. I tried to change gain from monkeylogic, but it does not change a lot. Do you have some advise about it?
