AIs for selected sets - competiotion for design? #280

The thing I was in a way wondering is to have specific AIs for given sets (i.e
fixed set of 10 cards).

Maybe having an AI design competition for a given set at e.g.
http://dominionstrategy.com/ would make sense. With one set every ~2 month and
open design competition we could slowly build up pretty good AIs.

The winners (1st 2nd 3rd) could be decided in e.g. playing AIs 10k games
against each other in a tournament. Different winners could be in 2-3-4 player
games.

Maybe tutorial type AIs and sets could also be included. Also a short
description of how AI works.

Of course for this AI behaviour must be made easy to develop, which is a
challenge itself. Maybe looking at http://dominionsimulator.wordpress.com and
using whatever know-how and pre-programmed behavior is available there could
potentially be used. Then linking to the articles related to these games might
be interesting.

In a nice ideal word maybe merging and co-maintaining the simulator's and
androminion's game engine could also happen, though I think that the simulator
in not open source at the moment.

The simulator is now open source and the developer e-mailed us about using it
to create better AIs. I agree with the merging of the game engine for long
term, but it would be quite a bit of work. In an attempt to just get something
working, I tried just hacking them together, but even that proved to be more
work than I thought.
