Not able to access network shares... #14

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open MP Config, go to "Video Folders", and configure a network share. I've
tested UNC path, and also conecting the network share as a local drive letter,
and reference that in MP Video Folder Config.
2. Try to see the contents with aMPDroid, inside Videos, and "Folder" view. I
don't use MyVideos Database, so I can't test another views.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
You should see the contents of the folder, but you get empty results.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
MPExtended 0.5.1 + aMPDroid 1.1.1

Please provide any additional information below.
I remember to have had this problem with old versions, but I would say I
resolved it changing local path with UNC path... ¿?

I would attach MPExtended logs, but browsing doesn't trigger any log...

Thanks a lot.

Forgot to mention that I've correctly configured login/password for network
shares inside MPExtended config, but I can't really test as I've only aMPDroid
and Webmediaportal as clients, and Webmediaportal hasn't got same "Folder" view
as aMPDroid.

Also note that "Music" section has same behaviour. I can play music and browse
database with any view but "folder" one.

I too have this same problem. MP can access the shares just fine but
MPExtended and/or aMPDroid can't. I also have configured and tested the
login/password within MPExtended Config. It would be really great if this was
fixed.

Thanks for the hard work.

Oh, nevermind. I got it working. I had to use a UNC path to my music share
instead of a mapped network drive which was mentioned here.

xtended/FAQ

I then had to setup the MPExtended service to use my Windows user's credentials
as shown here.

Seems to me this could be a little simpler but at least it works.

Thanks.
