Monthly Database Dump #23

Hi, Is the Monthly Database Dump will be available for patrons?

It doesn't look like it due to the alleged DCMA notice (for whatever, probably 1 of 1m+ items), however you could easily generate the dump yourself by looping over all possible IMDB ids ;D

Doesn't have to be a dump of the whole database. In my case, a simple *.csv file with ID -> Name would be enough to do client-side search box auto-completion.

Bumping this, as getting a local DB would allow one to run any custom query not currently implemented by the API (i.e. by genre).

Why not just go direct to IMDB for that? That is their primary mode for integration it seems. https://m.imdb.com/interfaces/

I was thinking about it, but IMDb licensing prices start at $50,000 USD per year.

Wow, I didn't realize. I guess I was just looking at non - commercial which just seems to allow you to download it for free
