Cannot connect to event pipe #8

I can launch the app, I can launch the game, but I can't do anything else. On the left, it says

[i] Initializing... [i] Starting game... [i] Awaiting connection... [i] Loading plugins... [i] Loading TestPlugin-v1.1 by omni ... [i] Plugin load completed. [i] Waiting for connection to event pipe...

and then stops.

Any ideas? I've reinstalled vcredist.

Try starting the app and the game in a different order. Also I don't think it's compatible with Afterbirth. Honestly you should just wait a little and there will be Afterbirth+ with mod support and nobody will need this piece of pre-alpha software that's far from being usable.
