It is worth noting that this has been happening for years and that superfluous games actually count. Losing one of those by timeout without playing leads to being disqualified in double elimination tournaments for example, even if it is the first loss.

Describe the bug I have been in a few live double elimination tournaments which created multiple games at once for 1 round.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: One tournament is here. https://online-go.com/tournament/96112
The two games were here, and I did not receive notification for the first, only the second, then it appears the round was considered a timeout. https://online-go.com/game/view/48136860 https://online-go.com/game/48136857
My opponent in the second game was recorded as receiving a bye despite having played that game.
Expected behavior Tournament expected to pair 1 game per round and notify for that game.
... and which also has this comment:

In the recent blitz elimination tournament the following extra games were generated apart from the ones in the schedule: first second.
In addition to the second one, the notification about the new round linked to the superfluous game so both players lost the real tournament game while playing in good faith against each other.
This is the first time I have experienced this behavior.
