Plugin does not merge artboards selected

Hi @oodesign ,

unfortunately when I choose "Symbols > Merge selected symbols" the plugin does not merge those artboards. Instead it still shows all selected ones but renames them to crazy names, like f.e. "d89be1ce-2e04-4b15-bffb-9218254eefb5".

Is there any fix for this already?

Sorry for the late reply. Somehow we missed this one last week 🙈.

I'm sorry you're having a bad experience with Merge Duplicates. We'll make our best to address it as soon as possible.

However, I'm afraid we can't reproduce the issue you describe with our testing set 🙈 . Could you please send us a Sketch file you can reproduce it with?

All files are and will remain confidential, but if you don't feel like sharing your original file (and related libraries), please duplicate your files and remove anything that you don't feel comfortable sharing. As long as the plugin issue still occurs when working with the "simplified" file, we should be able to reproduce it as well.

I'm afraid we cannot reproduce the issue you describe with the file you sent us either 😮. Can you?

If so, could you please send us the Merge Duplicates logs? Logs don't contain any sensitive information about your design file, it's just plugin processing related information. You can do so by:

1. Quit Sketch
2. Open Sketch again, and open the file you're having issues with
3. Merge Duplicates logs are disabled by default. You may enable them by going to Plugins > Merge duplicates... > Settings , and switching on the logging ability.
4. Run the Merge Duplicates command you were having issues with (Merge selected symbols, in this case )
5. Proceed as usual until you experience the issue you described. Don't quit Sketch yet (this is important, as Sketch logs are deleted when you quit and relaunch the app).
6. Logs will be stored by this point. May you please send us your log file so that we can investigate what may be causing the issue? You may find them in ~/Library/Logs/com.bohemiancoding.sketch3/Plugin Log.log

yeah the issue still persists. Might be because I still used the free version, bought yesterday the latest version and everything works now.
