DHW scenarios for Hastings

Would you have bandwidth to produce DHW scenarios in the same format as dhwRCP45.mat for the Hastings case (albeit in netCDF format if possible)?

If you can do it for other RCPs too that would be awesome, but I think not strictly necessary for this upcoming deliverable.

What do you mean? What is this file? I'm in the process of making dhw projections with miroc5 from yves-marie as Ken asked, but not sure what's the file you are referring to, it was produced while I was away by Barbara?

Ah, possibly what I am asking for is the same thing.

I linked to it above? Its a file holding DHW projections for the Moore Reef cluster for use with ADRIA.

Ken made this one, don't remember the specifics but I think we discussed during one of our team meetings that if we can't get the "new, more realistic" approach to generating these datasets done on time, we would go with the Weibull approach again.

Sorry @KRNA01 I know you explained this before in an email but could you remind me if this dataset in dhwRCP45 was produced sampling from the Weibull distribution?

Both, suggest we prioritise DHW work with ReefMod for Cairns, and give Hastings second priority (move beyond March). This is due to the shifting cluster priorities at leadership levels (sigh).

@veroniquelago, suggest we start this tomorrow with a meeting and in a new branch. I'll then walk you through the principles we need to use as boundaries. You can then better then throw your expertise at the problem so we get results for Cairns asap.

So you want for the city of Cairns at the moment? Or do you mean the general reef region offshore from Cairns?

Just noting that Hastings is no longer a priority for the March (April) deliverables. However, I suspect Hastings will become critical for other upcoming business cases, so we should keep it in play.
