These are now regularly scheduled every Friday, from 12:30-1:30p Eastern.
They are also now recorded in the WG zoom cloud account, and are made available publicly. The upload process is all volunteer, and after the initial work Christian and I did, the only volunteer has been @chris-short who has done a stellar job but is also just one person. We do have others who have volunteered to help with media work, but so far no one else has done the legwork for this. Again, the community.cncf.io platform will handle this for us once we move there.

Since chairs were established for this WG we have been trying to meet once a week, mostly to take care of administrative things. Since there are only 3 of us these have been informal and flexible around each other's home schedules. All work is done transparently via GitHub issues, agenda items on the public meeting notes, emails to the mailing list, etc. However we should record these like our other meetings. The GitOps Working Group Co-Chairs Meetings minutes are public.
In general CNCF expects most meetings to be open as it's one of the CNCF values. As I understand it, private meetings are normally used only for code of conduct type things, CFP reviews, or emergency situations.
If we wish we can follow the CNCF TOC example by alternating between public and private meetings. Either way they always record and publish the meeting minutes/video afterwards.
One option is we can use the CNCF builtin meeting platform here https://community.cncf.io to do them outside of using zoom as it's easy to host/record/publish from there (example).
