This is something I was definitely planning to add. For the time being, I click on the button to the left of the space to quickly switch language.
I think this would be a killer feature allowing many users to migrate from SwiftKey.
One reason for leaving SwiftKey for me was that with three languages enabled, it often suggested words from a language that was obviously wrong at that moment.
I suggest to be careful with implementing language auto-detect, and at least make it configurable. The manual language selection button is more useful for me.
AnySoftKeyboard also has this wonderful feature
BTW devs, in case you are thinking language detection is hard and takes time to get right, please, please, for now, just add the option to "join" multiple dictionaries into one https://github.com/openboard-team/openboard/issues/167 It will solve 80% of the pain. And will help you add emojis as one of the dictionaries!!!!!
and programmer jargon dictionary etc.....! ;_; and having access to more alt symbols..
Keyboards like Swiftkey allow usage with multiple languages without having to switch between them manually. automatically detecting the language you're typing in for use with autocorrect. This would be great to have for people that switch between multiple languages often.
