In some cases, companies may offer a line of products that are a variation -- or perhaps simply their own manufacturing process for -- an otherwise well-known ingredient.
Describe the solution you'd like
I think we should probably 'genericise' and map these company-branded product names to the same ingredient as the well-known, non-proprietary ingredient name; certainly in cases where there is no significant expectation from consumers of a difference, and/or where substitution of one for the other should have little effect on recipes.
As with other ingredient synonyms, it may make sense to allow searching for both the generic term and also the company-branded one.
Describe alternatives you've considered
We could keep the company-branded terms as distinct, but this would reduce the set of recipes available to users if they search for a proprietary term used to refer to a commonplace ingredient.
Additional context
Note that this is distinct from cases where the best-known ingredient name itself was created by a company.
