Third question of Comment 7: "a 15 October missive ... states: "...Outside of OGC, there is no leverage to get the CoverageJSON supporters to do the work,..." My question: "If we do the work inside the OGC, what guarantees do we have that the I.P. holders will accept ""

The IP holders have agreed to the plan of adopting CoverageJSON as an OGC Community Standard. Any further work inside OGC would be done under OGC Policies and Procedures and the supporters of the OGC work are already key stake holders in the CoverageJSON communities and are also Members of OGC.

The guarantees are the same as any other OGC WG work - if the Members want it done, it gets done. CoverageJSON Task Team agreed to close 2022-02-16
