Thanks for this PR @pvretano .

The : notation is not at all required, and I agree the examples might be confusing in that regard.

However, currently there is Recommendation 13 which does recommend such approach, so the examples follow the recommendations.

There is a benefit to following this recommendation for facilitating browsing hierarchical content in a browser.
