I have surveying projects that I packaged with Qfieldsync for cable export. I always have all source layers in a single geopackage to keep things neat. Every time I want to edit the master project, I create a copy of the folder containing the .qgz and the .gpkg and rename it with current datetime.
When I try to sync from the packaged project that was used to collect data on the field, it fails. QGIS simply opens the packaged project and doesn't update the master project.
I get prompted to confirm the new original path, which I accept:
I then end up with the packaged project open and these notifications:
and then:
But no update on the master project.
I tried with a clean profile without success. Any guess?
Do you create your QField package before or after you copy the QGIS project+GPKG?
I do something similar to you, but I always sync using the original QGIS project (unchanged location and name).
