Everything is configured with many items and persistence in operation with rrd4j. Add-ons are online. openHAB 2.4 is running perfect for long time now.
I now want to upgrade from 2.4 to 2.5(.x) on Windows 10.Actually this is my last attempt: I started with 2.5.3 on Windows, then 2.5.3 on RPi 4B, now Windows again. On all platforms with 2.5.x always the same problems (see later).
My new setup:
openHAB 2.5.5
Windows 10
Oracle Java
rrd4j for persistence
Will use my existing 2.4 configuration and persistence, inclusive HABpanel configuration
I tried to upgrade with upgrade.ps1, but it is not working because of too long path (in .\userdata\kar\...... from old installations???)
The installation:
Download and unzip openHAB 2.5.5
Install new Oracle Java
Starting up openHAB
Waiting for long time to finish installation
Stopping openHAB
Copying old configuration (but not the old rrd-files)
Starting openHAB
Doing all the configuration in PaperUI (as in 2.4)
Importing all things
Importing HABpanel configuration
Restarting openHAB
File rrd4j.persist exists
File rrd4j.cfg exists, but empty
New rrd-Files in .\userdata\persistence\rrd4j are created
When openHAB is started, then I get these warnings in openhab.log:
2020-05-23 19:23:06.794 [WARN ] [nce.extensions.PersistenceExtensions] - There is no queryable persistence service registered with the id 'rrd4j'
