the sample number doesn't appear to be generating correctly - I'm reluctant to start entering our data (we have about 100 backlogged samples to enter) in case we won't be able to change the to the correct ones.
So, that looks like it's slipped through.
Quick note - I'd very much advise that you use the existing elCID ID rather than starting your own numbering system.
e.g. you will end up with RiDRTI/RFH/SPI/2952
Is that OK for you? If so I can update the format relatively quickly.
We've already collected about 150 samples and each one is labelled with the system we thought was agreed – starting from 001. Each sample has a minimum of 2 vials (sometimes more) stored at -80 and we've also sent records with these numbers to the DNA infection bank. We have also lots of labels printed with this numbering system. Therefore its not really feasible to change the numbering system anymore.
