Users cannot edit whether new members of a space will receive notifications #1174

When we create a discussion, check-in, etc., these are the options we have regarding who will be notified:

With our current solution, if the user selects the option "All X people who are members of the space", new members who join the space will receive notifications.

However, if the user selects the option "Only the people I select", new members who join the space won't receive notifications.

The thing is that currently we don't have any way to edit this behavior after the resource is created. Here is what the current editing form looks like:

Should the form stay like this with no option to edit this behavior? Or should there be an option in the form to enable users to edit whether new members will be notified or not?

If a new member joins the space/project, will they appear in the list of potential subscribers?

Yes, they will.

I wouldn't worry about it then - wouldn't even keep it as an issue until we hear from users.
