python-oracledb 2.5 is out on PyPI.

The release notes have all the enhancements and fixes but highlights are:

• A register_protocol() function that will make it easier to use LDAP in Thin mode.
• Extra functionality for Pipelining making it ideal for schema creation scripts.
• Various new readable/writeable attributes - most, but not all, for Thin mode.
• Support for setting Application Contexts and the Edition in Thin mode at connection time (aligning with existing Thick mode functionality).
• Locale aware path handling for init_oracle_client().
