Run Osmand+ in Energysaving Mode #13961

hello to the devs, please change a configfile in osmand that we can set in Android 11 the osmand+ apppermission for location to "always on". i can only set location to "only when app runs". if i can set location for osmand+ to "always on" then i can use it in energysaving mode. if location is not "always on" the gps signal breaks when the lockscreen goes dark. when we set the app to unrestricted data,battery optimization off and location "always on" it works perfect in energysavingmode.

What is this energy-saving mode?

Even if background location made sense for OsmAnd, surely that would mean more energy use, not less?

Unless you mean being able to dim the display, which is a different matter (the actual computer (CPU, etc.) in your device, is still active).

The Search bar is your friend.

No, don't delete. Perhaps close if those other tickets resolve the issue. You might, however, be experiencing something different. [See questions added to my original reply.]

oh yes,the searchbar ;). i searched so many weeks for a solution. i forgot to put osmand to search. i only was searching how to get app permission in A11 to "always on" but it shows something for programmer ;) thanks for your fast reply :)
