My suggestion is send something like this Hello, Thanks for your interest in OpenSSF. I am following up about your application for Associate Membership. Anyone can participate with the OpenSSF, you qualify as an Individual Contributor and do not need a Membership. If you are looking on simply participate here are some resources:
