The answer is probably No. The camera tray should be attached firmly to the spline of the tilt servo so that it is in the correct position and cannot slip out of adjustment. Standard servos like the tilt servo know what position they are in. The absolute rotation angle of the tilt servo is addressable by the Arduino sketch which can position the camera tray exactly regardless of the tray's position when the power is off. Most of the modes in the sketch should make the camera point straight down (the last tilt position of a sequence). This is something to check when testing the rig. If the lowermost tilt position does not point the camera straight down, something needs to be adjusted. But it requires tools or editing the sketch.
