Is there a way to overwrite a previous version of the ePub you are trying to download if the author replaced chapters or updated them with a newer version but the update date is still the same?

Im not certain i understand. We're talking about fanfiction.net right ? AFAIK, if they update a chapter or anything it should change the update date, then ff2ebook should see that the date changed and update.

You can always try force update, it should make it update if it doesn't work normally. image

I mean if they change a previous chapter but the update date is the same like if they rewrote a earlier chapter.

ok, i don't think there is an easy way to check this except comparing each archived epub chapters to the each new chapters, which would make it a lot longer to check if the version is updated.

Your best bet will be to use force update when you are aware that there is a change.
