I'm sure @wsvincent and I would love to have you on Django Chat when we fire up again in the fall.
Haha, the easiest pitch is no pitch at all! Thank you. When shall we contact you to set that up?
End of the summer? Sept time?
Cool. Thank you!
Just want to stop by and say, this is a very fun github notification to receive. :)
If you still want to come on feel free to apply here https://www.devtools.fm/guests
Note: a good combination of guests to pitch is either two core team members from different organizations, or one core team member plus one user from the general public. Either pairing brings a nice balance of perspectives and stories.
Podcast guesting is always a fun and easy way to promote Pants, and does not require knowledge of the source code itself. Typically there is virtually no preparation required other than the pitch itself and a couple emails back and forth to schedule the interview time. Questions tend to be friendly and curious, from software engineering peers rather than hard-hitting journalists. Podcasters are interested in your unique perspective and experiences rather than probing whether you have exhausive knowledge of Pants. It's common for the interview to take an hour or less, with no other work on the interviewee's part. Many podcasts also offer the option to have something deleted from the recording upon request (confirm when scheduling). So if you stumble on your words, or need time to think about an answer, typically no one but you and the interviewers know.
Some podcasts that potentially would be interested in Pants and related topics such as build engineering, devops, MLops, code quality, developer productivity, software quality, scaling, etc are:
Please add to this list! And if you are a fan of a podcast mentioned in this issue and think Pants folks would be good guests on it, please do let us and the podcast hosts know. Thank you!
