parsec tested on aws g5 (nvidia a10g) #88

Not really an issue - was able to test parsec on the new aws g5 (Nvidia A10G) with the available grid drivers in aws, works great. Would be great if this option can be added to the automation script.

performance wise, almost 2-3x nvidia T4, so is a great option if you need the horsepower (esp 4k 60+)

@creativetestingml

Since g5 hasn't been added to the cloud prep tool/script, you need to manually install the appropriate nvidia drivers as well as the grid license. Follow the instructions here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/WindowsGuide/install-nvidia-driver.html

After which, you can then setup parsec (or just run the cloud prep tool).

any chance the g5 will be added in the near future?

I have been suffering with that for a week! and now I am trying to set it up manually!

@jad0083 have you tried it with the gaming drivers?

Hi folks... I confirm G5 instance with windows 2022 is working with parsec. u need to install manually the NVIDIA driver from AWS documentation, I added too the NICE DCV to get 4K display. then start the script parsec cloud prep.

Enjoy !
